About Go Volunteer India

We connect travellers with real Indian communities — the ethical way.

Go Volunteer India is a hybrid travel-and-impact platform. We design short and long stays that let global travellers work alongside grassroots partners — teaching in Delhi's slum classrooms, supporting women-led collectives in Faridabad, assisting community clinics, and caring for rescued animals across the NCR.

Our Vision

To become India's most trusted volunteer travel organization by connecting compassionate people with meaningful opportunities that create sustainable impact, strengthen local communities, and inspire global citizenship.

Our Mission

To be India's most trusted bridge between international travellers and Delhi NCR communities — using structured programs, ethical standards, and honest storytelling.

Giriraj Meena

Growing up in an orphanage after losing my mother at the age of four, I experienced firsthand how the support of compassionate people can change a child's life. That journey shaped my belief that every person, regardless of where they come from, deserves opportunities, dignity, and hope.

Over the years, I dedicated my career to the child welfare and adoption sector, working closely with orphaned and vulnerable children, government agencies, NGOs, and adoptive families across India. Through this work, I witnessed both the incredible impact of volunteering and the challenges many organizations face in finding committed, skilled volunteers.

These experiences inspired me to create Go Volunteer India — a platform that connects people from around the world with meaningful, ethical, and community-driven volunteer opportunities across India. Our goal is not simply to offer volunteer trips but to create experiences that genuinely benefit local communities while giving volunteers an authentic understanding of India's people, culture, and social challenges.

I believe that volunteering should leave a lasting impact — not only on the communities we serve but also on the lives of those who choose to serve.

Why we started

Go Volunteer India was born from a simple belief: everyone has the power to make a difference when given the right opportunity.

Having spent my childhood in institutional care and later working with hundreds of children, families, NGOs, hospitals, schools, and community organizations, I saw countless people eager to help but unsure where to begin. At the same time, many grassroots organizations lacked access to skilled volunteers and international support.

I wanted to bridge that gap. Go Volunteer India was created to build meaningful connections between volunteers and trusted community organizations, ensuring that every project creates real, sustainable impact. We carefully design programs that promote responsible volunteering, cultural exchange, and long-term community development rather than short-term charity. — Giriraj Meena

Our Framework

Community First

Every program is co-designed with local partners who lead the priorities on the ground.

Safe & Ethical

Vetted host families, background-checked coordinators, and clear child-safeguarding rules.

Regenerative

We measure success by long-term outcomes, not visitor numbers or Instagram moments.
